      Giants players’ performance based pay

      Friday, March 12th, 2010

Short article here on Giants players’ performance based pay. It has nothing to do with how well you perform though – just how much playing time you get compared to how little money you make.

      Bruce Johnson, $270,766

This CB saw lots of playing time due to injuries and since he was a 7th round pick had a low salary.

      Michael Johnson, $235,445

We didn’t like watching him on the field most of the time but he was out there a lot thanks to injuries and no depth at safety.

      Kevin Boss, $221,100

Turning out to be a very solid TE and a great value for a 4th round pick.

      Terrell Thomas, $207,125

      Another CB.

      Aaron Rouse, $193,598.

A safety (now released) who saw a bunch of playing time even though the Giants signed him well into the season.

Giants beat Falcons but are you happy?

      Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

A win is good and the Giants sure needed one. Thank you Eli Manning, Kevin Boss, Mario Manningham and co.

With Boley and Aaron Ross, but without Pierce, the defense just did not get the job done. Foe me, that’s what sapped the fun from this one.

      Trade for Tony Gonzalez Jerry!

      Sunday, October 12th, 2008

Read this. How could a Giants fan not want to make this trade? Sure the dude is 32 and he eats funny but come on! He is a great tight end – far more consistent than Shockey was and far more dangerous than Kevin Boss currently is.

Certainly no complaining about his motivation: “I haven’t even won a playoff game. That’s the reality of it. You can look back and say you had a pretty good career, but I want to be able to say I went to the playoffs, I won some playoff games and I went to the Super Bowl.”

Is Kevin Boss getting enough action?

      Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Here Mike Garafolo asks if the Giants are doing enough to get Kevin Boss involved in the offense. He had one catch called back so in the scorebook he had nothing… His blocking is showing signs of improvement though.

Seems to me that the Gaints offense did more right than wrong but who doesn’t against the Rams? Maybe against quality teams we will need the tight end to be seen as more of a threat.
