Interesting mock draft from Pat Kirwan

      Sunday, March 21st, 2010

I haven’t really been keeping up with the mock drafts but this one is sparking a bit of controversy because of this pick:

      15. New York Giants
      Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri
The Giants need linebacker help and Weatherspoon is a guy with nearly 400 tackles in college who runs 4.6 in the 40. He can call a defense and play middle or weakside linebacker. (Previous pick: Sergio Kindle)

I know some people who say Weatherspoon is too small to play MLB. Personally I still remember Jonathan Vilma going to the Jets and winning rookie of the year at MLB. I think he was 230 pounds. Weatherspoon is listed at 6’1″ and 240 lbs. That may be high but still seems funny to say he’s too small.
