A few months ago we were wondering if the Giants would carry 4 DTs on their 53 man roster. Not really wondering but saying that they had to take 5 on the 53 man roster: Robbins, Cofield, Canty, Bernard, and Alford. There were too many good players there.
It’s fortunate that the Giants were overstocked – unfortunate that things turned out this way. Get well Jay!
After being carted off the field with a knee injury against the Bears, Jay Alford was apparently walking under his own power and joking around with teammates later so we may have reason to be optimistic. Let’s hope the injury is not too bad!
That would be some good news after what was otherwise a very depressing time watching the Bears dominate the Giants.
