Giants with their second and hopefully last crappy game of the season
The Eagles beat the Giants 20-13. The absolute worst part was watching our defensive line get pushed around. Watching our offense get shutout for over 59 minutes wasn’t all that great either though.
Was scoring that TD at the end of the game some sort of mental victory for the Giants? Considering how the offense couldn’t seem to get on the same page and held the ball for about 25 minutes, I think it is. Maybe ending the game with something positive will help guys focus as they prepare for the Cowboys.
No one expected the Giants to go undefeated, but I certainly didn’t expect them to get pushed around like they did in the Cleveland game. Was it a motivation thing? Was it the Plax distraction? Was it not having Plax (Hixon had a pretty big drop)? Was it something I’ll never understand?
The only thing I’m pretty sure about is that the Giants got their butts kicked but not because Plax wasn’t on the field. He didn’t push our defensive line around. He didn’t bribe the refs to let the Eagles hold all day (like they seem to get away with every time we play). He didn’t slow down our linebackers (did our guys look like the slowest LBs in the NFL today?). He didn’t make our receivers drop passes.
Let’s just hope the Giants down play like this again until next season…

Or was it a game plan? Something to throw our next opponents motivation and style off track.
But one of the main things about a football game. You do need to get the game going fast. That is the only thing that will slow down the opposing team. if you let them take an early lead. Their spirits gets higher. And they become harder to beat. So in the future, try to score as fast as you can. And that will bring their spirits down, and you will win. Keep that in mind.

But this ain’t nothing to be ashamed of. It looks like everytime we get pass 10 games, or so. Thats when we loose a game or so. It happens everytime. And I don’t care how good we are doing. Like that year when we was 10-0, in 1990. Then ended 13-1, which took us to Superbowl XXV. Remember?
But I’ll go for 14-2 this year. No reason not to. We got it in the bag.You understand what I’m saying? And we are gonna let them know we are the king on the throne.
Look here you Giants, we brought the NFC Back To Life. And we are truly the ones who I feel are serious enough to do it again.
I do miss Placco Burress. He’s good for them long over the shoulder passes, for big gains and touchdowns. And he catches them everytime. Dropping passes and missed fgs. will cost you a game. And get your spirits down. You understrand what I’m saying?
But we can do it. We lost Phil Simms, to Injury Reserve,in 1990, when we was 10-0, remember? And Hostellier took us the rest of the way.
So don’t think just cause we lost Placco Burress. We are going to have problems. Just maintain your momemtum and style.
I want to see the New York Giants w/ 2 back to back Superbowls up in that area… after bringing the NFC out of the hole.
Then maybe the rest of the NFC will also wake up, in the next seasons to come. You know what I’m saying?
