Giants lose to Minnesota by 1
It was a loss, but I imagine the Giants are feeling OK. They had a chance to play some backups, including David Carr who went 8 for 11.
Manning had a decent day as well though stats-wise not as pretty as Carr’s. There are a couple of throws Manning missed that could have really changed the game. Still, our backups showed that they could against the NFC North champs and that’s not bad.
I’d write more but I’m in London (saw the game at Sports Cafe, 80 Haymarket near Picadilly). Back in a week.

He’s in his fifth NFL season, and no one ever predicted he’d complete something like this.
Ward, as Giants’ backup running back, was in the unique position of needing 52 yards to reach 1,000 for the season, a rare feat by itself and even more special because only three previous running-back duos in NFL history had ever achieved that in the same season.
Ward finished the season with 1,025 yards, averaging a robust 5.6 yards per attempt. /Cool widgets at statbeast. Take a look!
