Giants going to the Super Bowl

Enjoy the pictures!

In a classic game that was frustrating at times for Giants fans (dropped passes, missed field goals, poor officiating), the Giants beat Green Bay and earned a trip to the Super Bowl.

Eli gets some credit and then more credit. No interceptions for starters and that's the entire post season. And were it not for all the drops his stats in the NFC championship game would have been pretty awesome, especially considering the temperature.

Burress was huge as he helped Manning out (though he also had a big drop at the end of the first half). He abused Al Harris.

One big concern is Seubert, who hurt his knee in the 4th quarter. Grey Ruegamer is capable of filling in, but if there's one Giant who fans want to see play in the Super Bowl it should be Seubert - we're all proud of him for coming back from a career threatening leg injury and I hope he sees the field.

And of course, you love to read articles coming out of Packer territory at a time like this. Here they cry over missed opportunities. Here they blame their defense for not coming through. Here they blame Favre.

And finally, let's give all the "experts" a very big middle finger. How many of these idiots picked the Giants? I swear these guys know less about football than many of us.

Thanks for the pics. As I said last week, the Cowboys are a more well-rounded team than the Packers, with the right game plan and some luck there is that slight chance we can get this one and we sure did. Shocked everyone. These teams act as if we were supposed to just show up and be happy to get this far,no, we went there with the attitude, if you want this win you gonna have to take it because we aint gonna give it to you. GO BIG BLUE...

you say poor officiating ? if i remember there was one drive where the packers were called on 4 different penalities. the packers blew chances toward the end of the game after the missed field goals. you can't blame poor officiating for the whole game. the packers didn't finish the giants off and the giants took advantage of favre's interception and bad passing to win the game.

Certainly have to agree about those so called experts. As long as they pick somebody else,I guess we'll keep winning.Hard to believe the Giants did so well in that cold.I had a sweater on,witha fire going, I live in Sc, and I was cold watching them. Too bad we have to wait two weeks for the game, but gives us plenty of time to catch up on those politcal ads.Go Giants!

Not sure what you're getting at David. Did you not see lots of missed illegal contact calls, especially in the first half when the Packers were playing jailhouse football with the Giants receivers.

In the end I suppose you can find examples of both teams benefitting or suffering from bad calls, but that's because the officiating was pretty bad.

I have no problem with everyone picking Dallas, then Green Bay and now New England...it makes the victories that much more satisfying...also you can't criticze the officiating other than to say there were just too many calls period, both teams benefitted at times from questionable calls...
to respond to the comment from the Green bay fan who said they gave us the game; I think they have it backwards...we left ten points on the field (RW's pick and fumble would've been 3 at most, plus 2 misses from Tynes) and still beat them...correction; we almost gave the game to GB; in other seasons, NYG would not have been able to overcome those mistakes and still pull out a win; tremendous heart; I am so proud of them.
