What does Antonio Pierce have in common with all Giants fans?
He doesn't want to talk about the Giants defense. He has an air horn to prove it.
"I want to talk about the Redskins. I don't want to talk about our defense," Pierce said, as if the two were mutually exclusive.
Sadly, the Giants defense has been mutually exclusive with all things football the first two games,,,
Posted by James Trotta at September 22, 2007 2:39 PMUnfortunately, Pierce is not acting like a leader. He is emblematic of what has happened to the g-men under coughlin. Over discipline by coughlin has turned the players into an undisciplined group, on and off the field. Granted they have a new d-coordinator, but thats no excuse for missing tackles and no pass rush.
This week against the redskins will be the watershed event. If they can pull out a win, then the attitude will improve and the team will get back on track. If they lose, look for more disarray, finger pointing and eventually a coaching change.
