Tiki Babrber is spot on

He rightfully asks why the Giants don't stick with the running game. Why would they rather put the game in Eli's hands, than Tiki's hands? The results are now gnawing at the hearts fo all Giants fans:

In those two games - losses to the Bears and the Jaguars - the Giants (6-4) have run just 36 times while attempting 76passes. That's a startling ratio considering the Giants trailed in both games by less than a touchdown with 13minutes remaining. And it's even more incredible when Manning's struggles are factored in. In those two games, the quarterback completed just 45.2% of his passes (33 for 73) with four interceptions.
Barber takes some criticism for being a bad teammate, but I find myself wondering what the problem is. He's being honest and I agree with him.

Well I wish it were as easy as getting Tiki the ball. I'm not sure what game you were watching but our offensive line had holes like swiss cheese...not made for Tiki but allowing the jag's d line to get thru. My thing is with all the commentators an fan's seeing the obvious Get Jeremy Shockey involved!!! Why haven't they done that yet. We are hurting just a bit with Amani "Sharp Dressed" Toomer out. Does anyone notice he is the go to guy with the most consistency. We could've used Ike Hilliard back here as well. I guess I just dont see the big contribution Plaxico brings because he just doesn't seem to playing up to potential. As for Sinorice Moss what the hell; Does he do anything other than ride the training table.
I guess we'll just see if we are up to getting it done in Nashville against the Titans. I suppose it's time we push our chips to the center of the table...go all in an make the playoffs!!!

I know that Tiki's 2.7 yards/carry wasn't getting us very far, but eventually Tiki would ahve made something happen. Manning obviously couldn't. We definitely miss Toomer - you are 100% right about that. And Buress comes up with some nice catches, but he hasn't been a game changer. If Moss doesn't play this season then we should have just IRed him and saved the roster spot (obviously) - that whole situation is annoying. We lost Prepah and Goddard for not having enoguh roster spots...

Three words for ya:

coaching, coaching, COACHING!!

We don't have the option to play against soft d-lines every week. So it's up to our coaches to figure out how to beat them with whoever's on the field. If the tackles are huge, run traps an sweeps. If the LBs are fast (bears), then run counters and run rught at them, but stick with it! Hufnagel doesn't make anyone but the GIANTS confused on sunday. Somehow, he only manages to suprise us during games. You can't ask for more than Tiki at RB, or Shockey at TE, and as much as he's struggled and has a lot of haters, you can't ask fo more than Eli behind the wheel. You just have to let him do what he can do well right now. But obviously running counters against the jags, and having Eli wait until Shockey is 20 yards downfield before gettign him the ball is what the coaches would call, 'putting your players in position to be successful.'

So now we'll go on and beat an inferior team so no one realizes we played way under our potential, and then the coaches are out of the spotlight.

I really hope Tisch and Mara know what they're doing....

I hope we can get a more decisive victory this weekend than we did against Tampa Bay an Houston. I can only imagine the hype we'll here about the Cowboys if we blow it this weekend. And Romo will be revered as a God from Olympus throwing lightening bolt touchdowns and ready to disassemble the hapless Giants. We are in the right spot atop the division an we can stay there if we work collectively an play up to our potential. Seeing Philly lose or Washington lose will be of no use to us. Dallas is playing like they want it. Maybe we should be watching those game tapes an say oh' this is how football games are won....

It wasn't that long ago when Phil Simms was under the microscope just as Manning is these days. Is Eli playing poorly? Obviously yes. But this has all happened before. In 1985,the year before the Giants won the big one, they played the Bears and were stomped, But Simms and the team recovered and went on to win the Super Bowl and Phil owns the highest quarterback rating of any Super Bowl quarterback.
Manning will recover just like Phil did. And I wouldn't trade him for Rivers or big Ben.
I do think Coughlin could do a better job of managing the game.

Any chance Jeff Hostetler is around. I mean Phil was good but hey as I remember Jeff got the start an the win for us. So maybe Jared Lorenzen can get his big ass behind center an take the team to glory. Don't worry I wont give up on Eli yet....As long as we beat Dallas I could care less how the rest of the season goes

The last two losses have shined the light on Mannings shortcomings as a QB. I realize that the g-men have been hit with the injury bug, but most of it has been on defense. Pettigout and Toomer are the only O -starters gone, so what happened to the rest?

A good defense begins with a good offense. Eli and the offense should be stepping up and controlling the ball and scoring. They are not!

Eli has had receivers open and either throws the ball too high or at their feet. He has a real problem with ball release and accurracy. If the fans can see it, what are the coaches doing about it. I hate to say it but the g-men are not one of the elite teams in the NFL and their playoff hopes are starting to fade.

The giant offense needs to have a meeting and decide if they are going to step up and play like their talent indicates they should.
