The Giants didn't look much better than Houston, but with 3/4 defensive ends out it's hard to look your best. Kiwi and Awasome didn't look bad - looked good against the run actually, but the Giants sure did miss Osi, Strahan, and Tuck. We really need some or all of those guys back for the Bears game. The secondary could use some healing as well...
But, ugly or not, the Giants get a win. The Cowboys (crazy game), the Bears (Miami was able to run on them), and Atlanta all lost. The Giants are in a good position.
Posted by James Trotta at November 6, 2006 8:41 AMIf the Giants can beat the bears that would set them into a great position. Even if the Saints win they'd be in a 3 way tie in the conference with the tie-breaker against Chicago. So if the season ended next monday, they'd have a buy and possible home field all the way through. As it is the season doesn't end monday, which means we still have a head to head against the Saints later, this could end up being a much bigger game than anyone would have thought at the start of the season. As it is, the Giants came out sunday and proved what I said back before the first snap in training camp. The Giants have the tools to win every game this season, but they also have a lack of discipline that could let them lose every game this year. Yes we had some big names out sunday against the Texans, but that doesn't excuse some of the sloppy play we saw. The Giants need to stay focused the whole game if they want to win, we've already had some minor miracles this year, I don't want to have to depend on more as the season progresses.
