Giants interested in Proehl?

So Mike Garafolo is talking about Proehl coming to New York. Personally, I don't see the point and hope the Giants aren't interested. It's not that Proehl can't play - he had 25 cathecs, 441 yards, and 4 touchdowns last season. But the Giants already have a bunch of receivers.

In the end, he might be a better 4th receiver than we have now. He might even win the third receiver spot. But will he be much better than Tyree, Carter, Taylor, et al.?

Interesting news. Check out my site and maybe we can set up some correspondence regarding football.

You are kidding, right, when you are asking if Proehl would be better than our "3 Ironmen" Tyree, Taylor, Carter?? (Ok, maybe it is a little unfair to lump Tyree, he is a ProBowl Special Teams performer. But he isn't causing anyone fits in pass coverage.) But Taylor and Carter? I can't figure out which is actually better for the team, them being out hurt all the time or being on the field. When these guys actually suit up for a game (which is rare), they have more drops than Great Adventure. And please, don't tell me about Carter's "deep game-breaking speed" again. Unless you are going to paint his chest with Gorilla Glue he might as well be running to the beer stand for me because no one is covering him.

BBB, out.

Sorry, I was too busy having a coronary over Carter, et al. that I forgot to talk about Proehl.

Great speed.
HANDS! He actually CATCHES the ball.
Seriously, good possession guy.
A consummate pro.
A Jersey guy AND former Demon Deacon (dear to my heart)

If it works capwise - it makes all the football sense in the world.

BBB, out.
