Giants playoff loss

I suppose it's time to start blogging about the draft with the Giants season finished after an ugly game in which the Giants got pushed around.

The Giants were not only outplayed but also outcoached according to the AP:

John Fox and the Panthers seemed to be ahead of the Giants on almost every play in his return to the Meadowlands, where Fox spent five years as defensive coordinator before taking over in Carolina in 2002.

"It was strange," Barber said. "They were in our huddle a little bit. They kind of had us dissected and figured out and we couldn't get anything going consistently."

One problem is that some of the players who were clearly outplayed today can't be easily replaced. Kareem McKenzie is a good example. It's beginning to look like we overpaid for that guy.

Anyway, I'll be back soon with some possible off-season scenarios that will never happen. But we Giants fans have to amuse ourselves somehow.

The Panthers third-ranked defense held the Giants fourth- ranked offense to just 132 yards. It was the first time an NFL playoff team playing away from home held an opponent scoreless since 1980. But now the Giants fans don’t have any other option but to amuse themselves.

Did it not look like the Giants had left thier play book with John Fox? Also looked like they had extra players. Worst thing was watching the game with a cowboys fan( he didnt have to say a thing)Have a good off season,Tom

I did not like Coughlin when they were winning so in my opinion, in a way, this was the best thing that could have happened. He has displayed a horribly negative demeanor throughout the year so I would be happy to see him go. Granted the Giants bar-stool linebakers were certainly a major factor in their loss, but their inconsistent offense and approximately 70+ rated QB were severely exposed. They looked pathetically unprepared and over matched. They had to know that Carolina would run the ball down their throat and make some adjustments. I hoep the organization dismisses Coughlin as soon as possible. Let's not waste Tiki's final years!
