Brandon Jacobs' former coach is convinced that handling the playbook will be no problem despite rumors of a learning disability. In this article by Paul Schwartz we also get confirmation that Jacobs is being given the chance to be Tiki's successor.
Posted by James Trotta at April 29, 2005 12:52 PMhey guys,
it's ya boy coming at ya again, i am sure bradon jacobs will not let us down. we have always been a little short , but i think that we shall over come this year and get into the play offs for the super bowl. i have personally met a few of the giants, i thought that it was really great. brandon will march us to the nfl playoffs along with the rest of the g-men.

Good to hear from you again. Yeah, I think Jacobs will at least give us some bulk to wear teams down in the late stages of the game (presuming we've managed to get ahead). His signing makes it interesting to see what happens to Ward....
Posted by: James Trotta at May 5, 2005 1:33 PMThe entire state of Louisiana will be watching Brandon's (aka: "Toby") performance. He is one of my homeboys from the small country town of Napoleonville in Assumption Parish. I can recall those days during his high school career when he electrified the crowds. Nearly all the games were wall to wall, packed with people. It won't be very long before he does the same to Giants fans all over and eventually to the NFL as a whole. He's always wanted the opportunity to prove his God-given talent. Now sit back. Relax. And be thrilled at what you're in for. As they say in Hollywood, "Let the show begin". Go Toby....'Polean (Napoleonville) is behind you!

Brandon Jacobs is one of my closest friends. We, the people of Napoleonville know what he is capable of. He has always managed to exceed the standards and playing in the NFL will only prove what he is really made of. B.J. is backed by a lot of praying people in this little town. He is our hometown hero. So for all of you doubters, simply sit back, relax, and enjoy. He,s only just begun....We love you B.J. KELLI
