Arrington, Dawkins size up the NFC East by talking about each others' teams and the Cowboys a little bit. For example, Arrington says Terrell Owens is the biggest new name in the division while Dawkins says Portis and Julius Jones (Cowboy's rookie back) are the most important newcomers. They mention Coughlin but don't seem to to be thinking about the Giants at all.
The magic will return is a bit old (June 30) and basically says that even though Gibbs can still coach, the Redskins won't win much.
Posted by James Trotta at July 6, 2004 7:33 PMFor some reason, I have this feeling again. The feeling the season Giants went on to superbowl agains the Ravens. I swear, that year, I had mentioned that the Giants was going to the superbowl early in the season. Ofcourse, my friends and co-workers thought I was nuts! Everyone in the media talks about how good Dallas, Eagles, and the Redskins and does not mention the Giants. Well, this year, I don't see any reason why the Giants can't be at the same level, or beyond, with these teams. For three years, I've been wishing that Collins, Fassell, and Payton (off coord.) would be fired. Now, they are actually out. Good! Now the Giants can play their tough defense, get rid of their "3 & out" offense. It will not be as painful watching our offense. No more Collins, panicking behind the line (fumbling, interception, bad dicisions...). No more dumb playcalls from Payton. And no more unemotional, unprepared, undisciplined, emotionless.... Fassel.
I believe that the Giants have awesome talents. Toomer, Hilliard, Shockey, Barber, and Warner on the offense, while Strahan, S. Williams, W. Allen, Peterson, and the additions on the defense I can't wait for these team to beat anybody. Oh, and one more thing, the coaching staff lead by T. Coughlin. T.C. will make sure that every talent is applied to the games. His speech when he was hired inspired me! He reminded me of Mel Gibson in the movie Braveheart. This coach doesn't only dream of winning but also wakes up and work hard at it. I can't wait for the season! Go Giants

And even that Defense was thin and haggared by the end. If the Ginats had kept Collins - drafted Sean Taylor, kept Barrow, and made some higher priced sigingings on the front lines - we would be talking about the super bowl.
