    • Should we draft any biker, ever?

Chris Snee and Eli Manning got honorable mentions in Gil Brandt’s under 25 ofense team. No Giants made it on defense though.

The QB who was chosen, ben Roethlisberger, is a guy many Giants fans say we should have drafted. You know the argument: We should have traded down, grabbed Big Ben, he’s better than Eli, etc.

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that he’s in the hospital and of course we all hope he is OK, but his recent 7 hour surgery after a motorcycle accident makes you wonder: how many NFL teams automatically drop bikers down their draft boards?

He wasn’t a biker when they drafted him. According to what I’ve read he was still on his learners permit, which had expired. The problem with atheletes ALL profesional athletes, is that to compete you have to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie. So what happens when you’re not playing? They go looking elsewhere for their fix. That’s why so many have drug problems, If it’s not adrenaline, a naturally occuring drug in the system when they play, induced when they don’t, then they go looking for it somewhere else. And people are looking at Rothlesburger, youngest QB to win a Superbowl and saying the Giants should have drafted him. The key point to consider is that the Offense that the Steelers implemented over the last 2 years is a very heavily run orientated offense. Almost ANY QB worthy of a 1st or 2nd round pick, and even a few 3rds and below, could have gone in there and done pretty much the exact same thing. If had been the other way and we took him instead, and they got Manning, they’d be saying we should have traded up to get him. Some people just love to complain.
