NFL-Giants: NY Giants football news

I just finished taking a survey online for the Giants marketing department.

The purpose of the survey is to explore your opinions on certain key questions and priorities regarding how the stadium should be configured and the amenities that might be offered. Similar to other new stadiums across the NFL, the new stadium in the Meadowlands will have a range of amenities and pricing options.

As you may know, the Jets and Giants have entered into a 50/50 partnership to build the NFL’s premier stadium in the Meadowlands. The new stadium will open in 2010. It will be a state-of-the-art facility with new fan amenities, better sightlines, wider concourses and improved luxury suites.

The questions were related to club seats and whether you would buy season tickets at certain places and prices. So they showed some seats on the 50 and quoted a price and asked what the chances are I would buy. Same thing for seats at the 20 and seats behind the endzone.

Tuesday and Wednesday were fun. Florida vs. Penn St, was an exciting game. For a while I was wondering why the kicking games were so weak, but remembering that there aren’t enough good kickers for the 32 NFL teams put things in perspective. If some NFL teams need to pay an average kicker than surely some or most college teams have to do without as well.

Then you hvae Texas stopping Lendale White on 4th and 1 when he had been having his way in that 3rd quarter and Vince Young leading an awesome comeback. He’s got at least one more fan (me) after that performance. Some people question whether he has enough arm for the pros, but he’s got as much arm as Pennginton, is bigger, runs faster, and seems to be more of a leader. I wonder if he’ll come out…
