Giants shut out Redskins
It was New York’s first defensive shut out since November 1998 in a game against Philadelphia. Washington Head Coach Joe Gibbs was shutout for the first time in 207 regular season games as an NFL head coach. The only other time he was shutout was a 17-0 loss to the Giants in the 1986 NFC Championship Game.
Tiki Barber lit up the Redskins and had a career high 206 yards rushing. How awesome was he? 16 carries for 171 yards in the first half. Defense and running. The right way for the Giants to win football games.

Is is my imagination or did Eli play a pretty poor game against Washington? I am excited about the win as anyone else but we have a long way to go. It’s nice to read and hear so many in the media praise the Giants but I also know how fickle these guys can be. The bottom line is this was a great victory but the team still has a lot to improve on. Moreover, we better work twice as hard this week for San Francisco or the Giants will be where Philidelphia is this week. I believe that this could be a great year if the team does not take this press coverage too seriously. Same for us fans.

I am with you Todd….But it sure is nice to see the Giants with something on both sides of the ball.
If they stay composed, they will be ok. If they loose this week to the 49ers then we will know that they are still an immature team who responds to the media instead of responding to their competition.
I hope that the Giants do more to the 49ers then they did to Washington!!
GO GIANTS
