    • What to do with #4 draft pick

I had been planning to write about how the Giants should stick with #4 (not trade up for Eli) and hope Gallery or Ben Roethlisberger was still there. If not I had been planning to write about how the Jints should trade down, pick up another 2nd round pick, and go after Tommie Harris in round 1.

However after reading Tommie Harris’s NFL.com analysis it seems far from certain that he has what it takes to be a dominating DT in the NFL.

Maybe I’m moving to the “take Sean Taylor” if Gallery and Roethlisberger are gone camp.

with the g-men incorporating a 3-4 defense it would be ultimately ignorant to draft anyone that cannot help in this right away.if we don`t get will smith we will get ran all over on the right side of the line..so what would shaun taylor, and gallery do when nfc east is runnin all over us??????????????????

You could also argue that switching to a 3-4 would be ignorant without the right players. I think we’re going to stick with a base 4-3 but switch to 3-4 once in a while.

Besides, weighing in at 260 pounds (according to http://football.about.com/cs/playerprofiles/p/willsmith.htm ) doesn’t make Will Smith an instant starter on the D-line and he’s projected to go around #10 so if the Giants want him, I’d like to see them trade down.
